Bon Echo Alpha 3 becomes the third developer milestone targeted at testing the main functions offered by the numerous features and alterations of the Mozilla firefox 2. The ongoing plans for firefox 2 is presently being carried out at the Bon Echo Planning Center, the Mozilla.dev.planning, and the irc.mozilla.org.
The new changes and features in this milestone which needs a feedback are:
- built-in Anti-phishing protection;
- presently, there are search suggestions with history of search in the yahoo and google search boxes;
- persistent storage and support for client-side session;
- changes to tabbed browsing features;
- new microsummaries characteristics for bookmarks;
- built-in spell checkers in text boxes;
- in cases of crash, automatically restoring your browsing session;
- advanced Add-ons manager for firefox themes and firefox extensions;
- advanced assistance for subscribing to web feeds, and for preview also;
- extended format for search plugin;
- updates to the system of firefox extension offering advanced securiy and permitting easy firefox extensions localization;
- assistance with SVG text with the use of svg:textpath.
The Bon Echo home page have undergone change in order to make it much easier for providing feedback and reporting of bugs by testers. All Mozilla firefox 2 users should be very pleased with this upgrade, because it gives Mozilla firefox 2 a certain advantage of lower versions than Mozilla firefox 2.
